CBS Films has assembled a solid young ensemble for the comedy Get a Job: Miles Teller, Anna Kendrick, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Alison Brie, Nicholas Braun, Brandon T. Jackson, and Jay Pharoah star, with Bryan Cranston on board as the elder statesman.  Director Dylan Kidd (Roger Dodger) started shooting Get a Job this week, and Mintz-Plasse has tweeted a couple revelations from the set.  First, John Cho is yet another great addition to the cast.  (I was shocked to learn that Cho will turn 40 this year, which adds a significant bump to the average age of the cast.)  Second, …

One of the many films to premiere at Sundance this year was director Jordan Vogt-Roberts offbeat coming-of-age comedy Toy’s House.  Written by Chris Galletta, the film is about three unhappy teens (Nick Robinson, Gabriel Basso, Moises Arias) “who flee to the wilderness where they build a makeshift house and live off the land as masters of their own destiny.”  Toy’s House also stars Nick Offerman, Alison Brie, Megan Mullally, and Mary Lynn Rajskub. Shortly after the premiere I sat down with Alison Brie for an extended interview.  We talked about her reaction to the photoshopped …

Our first casting story for the comedy Get a Job was posted way back in January 2012, a full four years ago. The picture started production shortly thereafter, in March, with a fantastic ensemble cast made up of rising stars like Miles Teller, Anna Kendrick, and Alison Brie, and a still-in-the-middle-of-Breaking-Bad Bryan Cranston. But after filming wrapped, the film sat on the shelf for a very, very long time. Now CBS Films and Lionsgate Premiere have finally decided to release this thing, and what better way to announce it’s coming with a debut …
